We have a position for a senior-level IoT engineer to assist in developing electronic systems for commercial vehicle applications, focusing on smart digital systems, prognostics, and health monitoring. What you will be doing: Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and prioritize engineering deliverables aligned with project timelines. Take technical responsibility for project deliverables. Lead the definition, design, validation, and integration of electronic systems, including controls units, sensors, loads, actuators, power supplies, connectivity, and user interfaces. Serve as the lead architect and systems integrator for electronic systems in new and existing product development projects. Lead product concepts for electronic and digital connectivity solutions for commercial vehicles. Collaborate with software, safety, and mechanical engineering teams to define design requirements. Act as the primary interface on electronic systems with internal teams and customers. Coordinate with the vehicle test team for installing and deploying electronic systems for field testing and data collection. Diagnose and resolve technical issues during validation and integration. Maintain detailed documentation, including layouts, drawings, specifications, and BOMs. Apply project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) to manage projects from concept to production.
What you'll need to be successful: Essential:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with at least 10 years of industry experience. Relevant technical specialist experience with a proven record of problem-solving, decision-making, and technical leadership. Leadership experience in product development from concept to production, especially in complex electronic systems. Strong background in designing and validating electronic hardware (sensors, actuators, controllers, HMI). Broad understanding of embedded systems, including microcontrollers, firmware, software, safety-critical systems, and interfaces. Experience with digital and connectivity solutions in automotive or commercial vehicle contexts. Experience with ALM tools like Polarion/Doors, Jira, Azure/Git. Experience with evaluation boards, rapid prototyping, and production ECUs. Knowledge of System Engineering standards (ASpice, ISO26262). Understanding of safety standards and regulations relevant to the industry. Exceptional troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to mentor team members in embedded controls. Self-starter with the ability to collaborate across teams.
