Responsible for the formulation, preparation, presentation and/or dissemination of Human Resources programs, policies and procedures. Develops human resource objectives, philosophy and strategic planning in relation to all personnel programs/services, assess trends in human resource management and leadership development initiatives. VPHR oversees employee health including Worker’s Compensation, leaves of absence, and employee exposures/injuries. The value you’ll bring to the team: Works with senior management team to develop an employee-oriented hospital culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, teamwork, and high performance. Directs the HR Department and provides a support service for management in all areas involving employment relations. Leads and promotes healthy employee relations, preventative labor relations, and serves as liaison for staff and management. Oversees all recruitment activity. Oversees the administration and facilitation of health plans that includes annual enrollment. Oversees the benefits programs, workers compensation, unemployment compensation. Proactively work with legal and risk management departments as appropriate. Leads the design, development and implementation of compensation plan and performance evaluation program. Qualifications: The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: BS degree in Business, Management, or Human Resources. Seven or more years of progressively responsible varied Human Resources experience (preferred in the Healthcare For-Profit arena), including several human resource functions. Experience managing and leading direct reports. Ability to adapt to many varied situations, circumstances, and personalities at all levels within and outside the organization concerning sensitive information. Current knowledge of government and regulatory agencies. Strong working knowledge of state and federal laws related to policies, procedures as well as other HR areas including recruitment, placement, separation, employee relations, and investigative procedures.
