La Jolla Logic is currently looking for multiple Hardware Engineers of varying years of experience and specialties (Jr, Mid, Sr levels) to join our team in developing next generation Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electromagnetic Warfare (EMW), and Information Operations (IO) systems solution for the Department of Defense (Sterling, VA). The next generation solution will enable enhanced combat systems integration, Open System Architectures, modularity, scalability, and increased automation utilizing machine learning and analytics. This contract has been awarded and is a funded opportunity in Sterling, VA! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals on a program that leverages the best practices in Model-Based Systems Engineering and Agile software development to design, produce, field, test, and sustain state of the art capabilities across Navy surface combatant platforms and shore facilities in support of our nation’s warfighters. Candidates in this labor category may be involved in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, the following: Identify and organize requirements. Evaluate engineering approaches and risks to produce and iterate development plans. Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, and designs. Develop electrical schematics or mechanical drawings for a variety of systems. Develop documents and diagrams in order to design, capture project details, and produce finished products. Work closely with systems, software and firmware engineers throughout the lifecycle of hardware products. Build prototypes and deliverable products in a lab environment. Test hardware systems based on requirements. Assist with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion. Interface with subcontractors and vendors to develop requirements, design, pricing, and proposal developments. Support engineering analysis functions, such as thermal, stress, dynamics, and mass properties. Requirements Experience levels: Junior (2 years), Mid (3-6 years), Sr. (7-11 years), SME (12+ years). Understanding of and/or prior experience in Hardware Engineering. Understanding of DoD Hardware Engineering or prior experience commensurate to years of experience in the field. Ability and willingness to learn new hardware engineering concepts, methods, processes. Active Secret clearance is required for consideration. TS/SCI upgrade may be required for some positions. Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.
