PGS Worldwide
PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support production operations for a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in Ocala, FL. This position focuses on designing and optimizing manufacturing processes, layouts, and production procedures to ensure efficient, high-quality, and compliant operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment providing engineering support
- At least 5 years of experience using SAP for production or manufacturing activities
- At least 5 years of experience with Quality defect dispositioning
- At least 5 years of experience with PMR (Production Material Review) processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional engineering, production, and quality teams
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, machining, and equipment installations
- Plan and optimize the arrangement of machines and workstations to improve efficiency, safety, and workflow
- Develop and implement operation sequences, fabrication methods, and inspection/test requirements
- Adapt machine or equipment designs to meet production conditions and constraints
- Investigate equipment and process deficiencies, implement corrective actions, and verify efficiency improvements
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) techniques to optimize manufacturing performance
- Provide technical guidance to engineering teams regarding manufacturability, tooling, and process improvement
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements
