Job Overview

This position entails general support work including providing assistance with underwriting tasks, special projects, and auxiliary support tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Completing underwriting support tasks which include but are not limited to handling regional queue activities, scan work, along with inquiries within regional fax, internet, and general mailboxes
  • Adhering to established guidelines, workflows, and service standards to document and complete underwriting support tasks accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assisting with special projects and other duties as assigned to assure efficient operation of the team, customer needs are met, and business results are achieved.
  • Providing continued software and hardware troubleshooting and support regarding configuration, setup, replacement and shipment of laptops and equipment
  • Distributing incoming mail and process outgoing mail via UPS and USPS; also assist claims with mail as needed.
  • Obtaining a state insurance license and fulfilling ongoing education requirements to keep the license active are mandatory and extensive training will be offered.

Salary and Work Schedule

A starting annual salary of $37,750 ($18.15/hr). Additional compensation would be dependent on level of experience and applicable licenses within the property and casualty industry with a range of up to $49,074 annually ($23.59/hr).

The 40-hour work week is scheduled from Monday through Friday, between the core hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Work from home may be available up to two days a week once trained to work independently.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Able to use a personal computer, mouse and keyboard with proficiency
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Effective active listening skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Required experience is strongly preferred
