Job Title: Licensed Social Worker Profession: Social Services Specialty: LMSW (Licensed Masters of Social Worker) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8 Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years with geriatric population License: WA LICSW, WA LSWAIC, OR WA LASW required upon submittal Certifications: BLS, MSW, and one of the required social work designations Must-Have: Open to true travelers as well as locals. First-time travelers are accepted. Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team, a candidate in this role provides social work services to participants. This is done in a manner consistent with the mission and core values of the organization. The candidate will spend a majority of time in direct service activities. These activities include one-on-one and group counseling. There will be interactions with other team members. Candidates will provide ongoing assistance to participants to address social issues. Based on comprehensive assessments, the candidate will provide insight into social, emotional, cognitive, and ethnic factors. These factors will influence the creation of an individualized integrated plan of care. The candidate will access community and financial resources for participants. Continuity of care across the continuum will be ensured. Social work assessments and interventions will be conducted in various care settings. This may include the participant's home, as needed. The position requires moderate to light in-field work. This is significantly less than what a home health or hospice social worker would do. Fieldwork will be primarily conducted in a specified area. Mileage will be reimbursed for travel between work locations during the workday. Commuting from personal homes will not be reimbursed. The candidate will have autonomy in scheduling home visits. Visits do not need to be scheduled in relation to personal commutes. Candidates will not be required to float between facilities. There are no weekend or on-call requirements for this role. A minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of employment is required. All candidates are expected to float between facilities within a given state. Refusal to float could result in termination of the assignment.
