(AbbVie collaboration for certain products) About the Role: Devises and implements a strategic approach to the transportation of all materials necessary to support Neurocrine’s global commercial, clinical, and research and development activities. The strategy ensures secure, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of materials while meeting all relevant compliance requirements, encompassing strategic planning and execution of import/export activities in compliance with domestic and international regulations, including record keeping, required filings, and communication with customs authorities. Your Contributions
Strategic design, implementation, and management of the logistics and distribution infrastructure for Neurocrine’s commercially marketed products across all global markets. Oversight for third-party contracts for logistics and import/export, including warehousing, shipping, customs brokerage, and distribution centers (3PLs)
Ensures the secure, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of all materials needed to support Neurocrine’s global commercial, clinical, research, and development activities, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
Optimizes global logistics spend through comprehensive analysis of shipping lanes, volumes, and activities, as well as driving financial stewardship through effective management of duty avoidance and VAT reclamation
Fosters strategic partnerships with relevant cross-functional teams and the oversight of the development and management of standardized practices for the import and export of materials globally. Provides direction for continuous improvement and the implementation of corrective actions for logistics-related deviations or unfavorable performance
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Global Logistics and Trade Compliance team, ensuring effective business processes and collaborating with cross-functional partners to maintain high levels of operational excellence

Qualifications
BS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or equivalent and 15+ years of pharmaceutical / biotech industry experience in supply chain, logistics, distribution, and project management OR
Master's degree and 13+ years of related experience
Extensive previous leadership experiences also required
Preferred experience: Experience with small and large molecules, cold and frozen chain, multiple regulatory jurisdictions, and customs brokerage experience
Exhibits ability to become company-wide advisor and emerging industry expert
Demonstrated strategy development and implementation within areas of responsibility
Possesses expert knowledge of own function and broad knowledge of multiple functions and impact on business
Proven leadership skills and ability, including influencing across many levels of the organization
Ability to effectively manage, mentor and train personnel and ability to motivate and influence personnel to achieve goals
Thorough knowledge of logistics and trade compliance processes (shipping, import / export, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and 3PL operations)
Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices and customs regulations
Pharmaceutical / biotech distribution experience including GDP / GMP regulations, Customs / import procedures in regulatory jurisdictions including FDA, EMA, and other relevant bodies
Knowledge of shipping and storage requirements for pharmaceutical products, including small and large molecules, dangerous goods, temperature-controlled products, and qualification of shipping lanes and containers
Familiarity with ERP systems
Demonstrated experience working in logistics overseeing logistics providers including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and small package carriers, and third party distributors (3PLs)
Ability to define problems, collect data, identify feasible options, and develop recommendations for implementation
Experience in launching and distributing new products
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma and risk management tools preferred
Training or certification in logistics, US and international import / export regulations, or supply chain management preferred
The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $214,800.00-$311,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. This position offers an annual bonus with a target of 35% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
