About your new role: As our Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the thermoforming manufacturing facility. You will ensure that production goals are met efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. You will oversee all aspects of the plant operations, including the full supply chain, manufacturing, maintenance and safety. Duties and responsibilities: Provide clear direction and leadership to all plant personnel. Lives and ensures the team’s execution abiding by the company’s values of integrity, partnership, accountability and empowerment. Develop and implement operational policies aligned with strategic objectives, in collaboration with all plant managers. Ensure compliance with company, regulatory, customer requirements and quality standards for all finished products. Full P&L responsibility, including forecasting and budget activities. Accountable for all plant financial and operational KPIs. Lead all day-to-day operational activities with the highest safety standards, to meet customer requirements with optimal yield, efficiency, and quality while ensuring on time delivery and full customer satisfaction. Responsible for ensuring the plant resources are properly equipped with the appropriate systems and tools to drive operational excellence. Responsible for day-to-day customer interactions related to repeat orders. Ensures customer satisfaction and communicates regularly with customers in partnership with the Sales Department. Oversee all supply chain functions including MRO purchasing, incoming purchase order processing. buying raw material, scheduling, material flow, inventory control, logistics and warehouse operations. Oversee capacity planning and resource allocation amongst the manufacturing units to meet required sales and capacity requirements. Oversee the process of new product introductions to the plant to ensure manufacturability and profitability. Ensure maintenance of all plant equipment and infrastructure in collaboration with the corporate facilities team. Ensure proper functioning and reliability of thermoforming machinery and support systems. Propose and manage capital investments for operational optimization, including but not limited to equipment upgrades and facility improvements. Ensure training and development of personnel, including performance evaluations, technical training and career development plans. Enforce all EHS policies and procedures within the plant. Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with local and corporate safety regulations. Foster, propose and support continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization and cost reduction efforts using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies. Full ownership of plant product quality. Collaborate with Quality Assurance in any quality or compliance related activities, including but not limited to complaints, CAPAs and audits. Make and implement employment-related decisions within the plant abiding by the company’s policies, guiding principles and procedures in partnership with Human Resources. Represent the company in customer interactions, applicable government transactions and community events. Other duties as assigned.
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field. Minimum 7–10 years of experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in thermoforming or plastics. Strong knowledge of supply chain management, resource planning, inventory management, and customer service. Strong financial literacy and previous P&L experience. Working knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing principles. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex operations. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software tools.
