Job Description: Restaurant Manager
This position is fully accountable for the profitable operation of a Firehouse Subs Restaurant while adhering to all company guidelines and regulations. Principal Accountabilities: Ensure the restaurant complies with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health, hour and wage, age restrictions, fair employment practices, ADA, OSHA, and other legal requirements. Ensure knowledge, adherence, and enforcement of all Firehouse Subs Policies and Procedures. Provide leadership to the restaurant team to meet standards of guest service, quality, and cleanliness, fostering a cheerful and fun work environment aligned with Firehouse Subs' culture, beliefs, and values. Ensure the profitability of the business by managing food costs, labor, utilities, and sales growth within established guidelines. Coordinate and implement current operational plans and company initiatives effectively and profitably. Ensure proper staffing with qualified personnel who are trained and developed appropriately. Oversee the ongoing training and development of Assistant Managers and Shift Managers. Participate actively in local restaurant marketing efforts. Implement and promote Public Safety Foundation initiatives. Ensure all required programs, reports, and legal documents are accurate, complete, and submitted on schedule. Engage in community affairs to leverage sales and public relations opportunities. Represent Firehouse Subs professionally and positively at all times. Communicate effectively with GM/Owner regarding any issues impacting the business. Maintain restaurant equipment and report problems immediately. Work on your feet for up to 13 hours and lift up to 50 lbs as needed. Perform any other duties assigned by the Owner. Compensation: $49,000.00 per year Firehouse Subs is a restaurant chain founded in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1994 by brothers and former firefighters Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen.
