Diamond Foundry is seeking a top-tier Senior Accountant to assist and improve various aspects of the general accounting practice. This person will know how to identify and troubleshoot issues that are in the way of efficient and effective processes to meet corporate and departmental goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid operational and technical accounting background, strong communication skills, and be driven. This person is a self‑starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is comfortable in a fast‑paced environment. The Senior Accountant must be able to prioritize and multitask as they will be involved with each area of the accounting cycle for a variety of businesses.
Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close:
Act as a major contributor in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including the preparation of monthly journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and fluctuation analysis, ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
Accounts Payable (AP):
Review, investigate, and reconcile daily AP activities, including vendor wires and payment adjustments. Perform analysis on key terms, categories, and resolve purchase order (PO) to invoice discrepancies.
Accruals & Prepaids Management:
Manage accrual processes for recurring and non-recurring expenses, ensuring completeness and accuracy. Maintain and reconcile prepaid expense schedules, ensuring proper amortization and documentation. Review and analyze operating expenses (OPEX) to ensure proper classification, coding, and reporting consistency across entities.
Management Support:
Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline close and reporting cycles. Provide proactive support and execute ad hoc projects as directed by management.
Requirements
Professional Qualification:
A Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting is required. A CPA certification is strongly preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3‑5+ years of combined experience in Public and Private Accounting is strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Advanced analytical and Excel skills are essential. Must possess experience with ERP and Expense systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
Behavioral Traits:
Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and be highly detail‑oriented and precision‑focused. Must also be inquisitive, showing an eagerness to learn new processes.
Collaboration & Communication:
Ability to work collaboratively across different departments and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
$100,000 - $130,000 a year
