The ADI Power Module Team is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Applications Engineer to support our in our San Jose office. This role offers the chance to collaborate with top-tier engineers, contributing to cutting-edge research, development, and technical support for industry-leading power module products. Responsibilities

Conduct new product investigations, define specifications, and research advanced technologies and tools for development. Enhance performance through evaluation, optimization, and testing. Drive the development of power application solutions to improve converter and system performance across broad applications (industrial, datacom, ATE, automotive, etc.). Develop and refine design and simulation models, tools, and circuits. Provide direct support and interact with marketing, field, and customers with technical expertise. Create technical documentation, presentations, and training materials. Minimum Qualifications

MSEE in power electronics. Hands‑on experience in designing, building, and testing switching‑mode power supply circuits. Strong background in analog circuits and power electronics, particularly switching‑mode power converters and their topologies. Proficiency in power converter modeling, control loop design, and performance optimization (static and dynamic). Experience with circuit design and simulation tools such as PSPICE, LTspice, Simplis, LTpowerCAD, MathCAD, OrCAD, Ansys, etc. Excellent communication, technical writing, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary environments. Preferred Qualifications

Hands‑on experience in designing and optimizing switching‑mode power supplies, including schematic design, PCB layout, simulation, prototyping, and lab evaluation. Familiarity with analog IC design. Experience with multiphase buck converters. Knowledge of firmware, DSP, or FPGA programming, as well as I2C / PMbus communication protocols. Proficiency in advanced design and simulation tools such as Ansys Maxwell, thermal analysis tools, and parasitic extraction tools. EEO Statement
