Job Description AECOM is seeking a Permitting Compliance Manager for one of our offices in Sacramento, CA.
Summary This role will support the daily construction compliance activities, ensuring quality control of documentation from the Project Construction Manager team, while supporting regulatory consultations, permit amendments, and environmental reviews.
Job Responsibilities
Manage schedules, milestones, and project progress to ensure timely, compliant delivery
Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and consultants
Provide regular status updates and risk mitigation strategies for leadership
Review compliance documents and ensure adherence to standards and regulations
Support permit amendments, compliance resolution, and regulatory consultations
Participate in stakeholder and agency meetings
Guide team roles and responsibilities, and process technical data for documentation
Qualifications
BA/BS + 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in environmental studies, natural resource management, wildlife biology, anthropology, or similar area of study
Expertise with CWA Section 401, CWA Section 402 (NPDES), and CWA Section 404
Expertise with California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW, Section 1602 and Section 2081 of the Fish and Game Code for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife), and USFWS (Section 7)
Experience working with SWRCB, RWQCBs, USACE, and NOAA/NMFS
Strong working knowledge of CEQA and NEPA
Experience with high-speed intercity passenger rail or transit
Knowledge of cultural resources regulations, including NHPA Section 106, with strong understanding of CEQA, NEPA, and experience in wildlife biology, natural resources, or regulatory permitting

Compensation Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $110,000 to $170,000.
