Senior Manager Contracts & Procurement

Key responsibilities include:
Procurement Leadership
Develop and execute procurement strategies for equipment, materials, and services required during development and construction phases.
Lead competitive sourcing processes for major capital equipment (e.g., wind turbines, modules, inverters, BESS, balance-of-plant).
Establish procurement processes and templates fit-for-purpose in a lean environment without a centralized supply chain department.
Ensure compliance with Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) requirements, forced labour laws and applicable tariff policies
Contract Management
Negotiate and execute contracts for EPC, equipment supply, and construction service agreements, in collaboration with BluEarth's legal team.
Administer contracts through project lifecycle, managing change orders, claims, and disputes during construction.
Ensure compliance with contract terms, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Build and maintain relationships with key OEMs, EPC contractors, and development-stage service providers (engineering, permitting, and construction).
Monitor market trends, pricing, lead times, and supply chain risks; provide insights to support project budgeting and investment cases.
Maintain and leverage supplier networks to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery.
Project & Development Support
Partner with Development and Construction teams to align procurement timelines with project schedules.
Provide cost and commercial input into project development, financial models, and investment approvals.
Comfort in presentations to executive leadership
Support M&A and greenfield development activities by assessing supply chain considerations, risks, and opportunities.
Uphold all aspects of BluEarth’s Environmental, Health, & Safety policies, practices, and programs.
Uphold the company’s core values.
Education
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field. A professional designation (e.g., SCMP, CPSM, PMP) is an asset.
Experience
Minimum 10 years of progressive procurement experience, with at least 5 years in renewable energy, BESS, utilities, or major infrastructure.
Proven track record negotiating and executing large, complex equipment supply and EPC contracts.
Experience supporting both Canada and U.S. project development and construction strongly preferred.
Familiarity with FEOC requirements, forced labour laws and applicable tariff policies
