Incentives
Annual scaled salary increases based on merit to a maximum of $166,703.29.
$15,000 Sign-On Bonus (Must complete training and check ride).
$40,000 Retention Bonus (6-month waiting period, 3-year program).
Up to $5,000 relocation assistance.
Scheduling & Shift Details Scheduled shifts run according to location and service day or night trips. While on duty, pilots serve a 12-hour shift (maximum of 14 hours if operating under Part 135) at the Base hangar in order to meet a 30-minute launch after initial notification of a trip. Pilot shift assignments consist of either a day duty period or a night duty period and are scheduled the month prior by the Base Lead Pilot to provide pilots sufficient opportunity to prepare their rest cycle. Within a 7‑day shift assignment, pilots can expect to serve the same duty period during their assigned 7 days on shift and then rotate to the next duty period during the next 7‑day shift. Changes to duty periods within a 7‑day shift assignment are discouraged but can occur depending on local needs at the Base.
Responsibilities
Complies with the duties and responsibilities contained within AirMed International general operating manual.
Ensures the aircraft is ready for mission in coordination with AirMed's global operations center.
Complies with all applicable FARs and operation specifications.
Disseminates pertinent information about flight operations through the operational control structure.
Conducts themselves in a professional manner, sensitive to the environment they are in at all times.
Attends meetings when required and may attend training and check‑flights outside of normal duty shift rotations.
Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Must reside in, or be willing to relocate to Dallas, TX.
Single Pilot IFR experience preferred.
Previous medevac and/or cargo experience preferred.
CE-560E PIC type rating required.
Unrestricted FAA ATP certificate (eligible to hold).
3,000 airplane total time hours.
500 airplane multi‑engine land hours.
1,500 PIC airplane hours.
First‑class medical certificate (hold or attain).
Maintain first‑class medical privileges.
Valid US passport.
Preferred Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent desired.
Working Conditions
Work in outside weather conditions.
Night, day, and overnight shifts as assigned.
Assist with de‑ice, towing, hangar maneuvers, and prep plane for flight.
Travel required for training events or maintenance assignments.
Physical Demands
Stand, walk, climb, bend, balance, sit, crouch, kneel, or crawl unassisted for extended periods.
Transport to and from work.
Assist with loading patients, lift and/or move up to 150 pounds cumulative with assistance.
Vision: close, distant, peripheral, depth perception, adjust focus.
