Job Summary:
TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Warren, MI is seeking a results-driven and hands-on
General Manager
to lead all hotel operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in hospitality leadership with at least
1 year of experience as a General Manager
in a branded hotel setting (Marriott, Hilton, or IHG preferred). This position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining brand standards, and optimizing financial performance, while fostering a high-performing and motivated team culture.
Key Responsibilities: Operations & Leadership
Direct all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, engineering, and sales.
Lead daily team performance and property operations in accordance with Marriott brand standards and company policies.
Maintain a visible and active presence on property, engaging with guests and associates.
Team Management
Build and lead a cohesive team, providing clear direction, support, and recognition.
Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing associates across all departments.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to ensure alignment with service and productivity goals.
Guest Satisfaction
Champion a guest-first culture and ensure delivery of outstanding service at every touchpoint.
Monitor guest feedback (including GSS scores and online reviews) and implement improvement initiatives.
Handle escalated guest concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Financial Performance
Analyze key metrics including RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, and GOP, adjusting strategies as needed.
Ensure proper inventory control, purchasing, payroll management, and cost containment.
Sales & Marketing
Collaborate with the sales team to grow market share, build strong local business relationships, and capture extended-stay demand.
Maintain a positive presence in the local community to support brand awareness and reputation.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a General Manager
in a branded hotel (Marriott, Hilton, or IHG strongly preferred).
Proven
leadership and team management skills
with a track record of building high-performance teams.
Strong operational knowledge and understanding of hospitality best practices.
Solid financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analyzing hotel performance metrics.
Deep

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Marriott systems preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.
