Tax Director – 10+ Years’ experience in Taxation
Venteon is currently seeking a high energy Tax Director to fill an opening with a growth-oriented Industry Leader and Employer of Choice headquartered in Michigan. The ideal candidate will be a critical contributor to the company’s overall financial success.
Requirements of the Tax Director
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required. Master’s in Taxation preferred.
10+ years of progressive tax experience, with at least 5 years in a senior tax leadership role in a multinational manufacturing company, preferably in Tier 1 automotive.
Deep technical knowledge of US federal and state tax law, along with solid understanding of international tax, transfer pricing, and tax accounting.
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to work in a complex, fast‑paced global environment.
Experience working with global teams and advisors in a matrix organization.
Experience in ERP systems and tax software platforms.

Responsibilities of the Tax Director The Global Tax Director will lead the worldwide tax function across all jurisdictions in which the company operates. This role is responsible for overseeing tax strategy, compliance, reporting, audits, risk management, and corporate governance. This role is critical in managing the tax complexities of a growth‑oriented, tier‑one automotive supplier with global operations.
Ensure full compliance with tax laws for all jurisdictions in which they operate, including corporate income tax, property tax, and indirect taxes (e.g. VAT, sales tax).
Ensure timely and accurate filing of taxes documents and related disclosures globally, including annual income tax returns, sales/use/VAT taxes, property taxes, and other applicable taxes.
Develop and implement global tax policies and procedures that support business goals while maintaining compliance.
Oversee global transfer pricing policies, documentation, and compliance.
Manage annual transfer pricing studies and ensure accurate application globally.
Coordinate with operations, legal, and finance teams on intercompany pricing for goods and all other related party charges.
Advise leadership on the tax implications of business strategies and transactions.
Manage all tax audits, inquiries, and disputes in each country of operation.
