Senior Production Manager Location: Chicago, IL. Onsite.

Purpose The Senior Production Manager oversees all aspects of production, purchasing, and execution of client marketing programs. Works with stakeholders, suppliers, internal teams to ensure projects are purchased and executed with quality, competitive pricing, and high volume of complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Gather project requirements and manage all production aspects, working with vendors on delivery timetables and maintaining status of assigned projects.

Input project specifications and relevant data into internal procurement system and maintain key data points such as customer quotes, purchase orders, and invoices.

Execute projects within contract-specified timelines, according to budget requirements and quality standards.

Build relationships and communication channels with clients to ensure smooth workflow and handoffs.

Liaison between internal and external stakeholders, agencies, and suppliers to ensure quality and on-time delivery within budget.

Execute production efficiently in accordance with business processes.

Identify and develop programmatic solutions benefiting both client and company.

Provide high-quality customer service, communicating status updates to clients.

Assist Account Managers in compiling account and project updates for key presentations.

Escalate production issues immediately to management.

Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Team to investigate potential suppliers and recommend cost efficiencies.

Engage in consultative partnership with client to improve marketing goals on assigned projects.

Ensure goal tracking and achievement of SLAs, KPIs consistent with client standards and contractual requirements.

Handle complex product-type categories, including direct mail and print materials.

Knowledge of USPS regulations and direct mail best practices.

Prepared to attend press checks with or without client and ensure necessary subject matter experts present.

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

5+ years of print, branded merchandise and direct mail production experience. eStore/inventory experience a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Proven track record of successful purchasing experience in manufacturing, client, or agency environment.

Experience with vendor negotiations and project management.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technology.

Ability to work independently with drive to continually hit goals.

Client communication and problem-solving experience with solution-oriented mindset.

Compensation (Illinois) Base salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 annually. Total compensation includes annual performance bonus targets.
