About the Role The Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication. The role requires providing clinical services, reviewing patient information, evaluating disorders, and developing treatment plans.
Responsibilities
Provide clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations and facility policy.
Review medical information to ensure stability and offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment of patients using psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Complete medical information for individual care plans and documents in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing per policy and procedures.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
One or more years’ post‑graduate degree practice preferred.
Licensed in the state in which the facility operates.
Licenses & Certifications
Board certification or Board eligibility in Psychiatry required.
Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state.
