Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Engineering - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate will have supervisory responsibility over daily operations, projects and maintenance staff. The Supervisor will be responsible for the proper operation of all hospital plant equipment, and in the absence of senior management, will assume responsibility for departmental operations. Duties include monitoring office computerized systems, teaching and training different trades, and inspection and upkeep of all rooms and HVAC, boilers, A/C units and alarms.

Job Responsibilities

Perform other related duties as required

Supervise daily operations and maintenance staff

Distribution of work orders and check for completion

Monitor office computerized systems, HVAC, boilers, A/C units, alarms, etc.

Monitor and service fire alarm systems and medical gases

Monitor, service and repair high and low pressure boilers

Monitor, service and repair emergency generators and Co-Gen

Teach and train in different trades

Supervise construction and painting projects

Monitor and keeps records of statement of conditions

Inspect and upkeep all mechanical rooms

Capable of reading blueprints, drawings and schematics

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify you must have a High School Diploma

5+ years in substantial experience on boilers, air condition and maintenance field.

Q01 COQ Refrigeration Engineer required.

G71 Supervision of Piped Non-flammable Medical Gases

S12 Citywide Sprinkler Systems

S13 Citywide Stand Pipe Systems

S95 Supervision of Fire Alarms Systems and other Related Systems

A35 To Operate and Maintain Air Compressors

F01 Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment

Preferred Qualifications Trade School graduate Hospital Experience

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,415.19 - $93,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
