Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor of Engineering - Brooklyn. In this role, the successful candidate will have supervisory responsibility over daily operations projects and maintenance staff. The Supervisor will be responsible for the proper operation of all hospital plant equipment and, in the absence of senior management, will assume responsibility for departmental operations. Duties include monitoring office computerized systems, teaching and training different trades, inspecting and maintaining all rooms and HVAC boilers, A/C units, and alarms.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations and maintenance staff
Perform other related duties as required
Capable to read blueprints, drawings and schematics
Inspection and upkeep of all mechanical rooms
Monitor and keep records of statement of conditions
Supervise construction and painting projects
Teaching and training different trades
Monitor service and repair emergency generators and Co Gen
Monitor service and repair high and low pressure boilers
Monitor and service fire alarm systems and medical gases
Monitor office computerized systems HVAC boilers A/C units alarms etc
Distribution of work orders and check for completion
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma.
5 years substantial experience in boilers, air conditioning and maintenance field.
G71 – Supervision of Piped Non‑flammable Medical Gases.
S13 – Citywide Stand Pipe Systems.
S95 – Supervision of Fire Alarm Systems and other Related Systems.
A35 – Operate and maintain Air Compressors.
F01 – Citywide Fire Guard for Impairment.
Preferred Qualifications
Trade School graduate and Hospital Experience.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $66,415.19 - $93,600.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
