Job Description The Senior Data Architect leads the implementation, migration, and development of data reporting to OCIO leadership and agency customers. Data analysis and visualization are critical to ensuring clear, actionable communications on behalf of the cybersecurity program. The individual develops and builds data sets within the agency environment(s) to assist with processing, displaying, and reporting of required data for agency Executive Management and both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship is required
Must possess an active TS clearance at the time of application, be willing and able to obtain SCI access, and pass a CI polygraph
This position is 5 days onsite in Washington D.C.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
At least eight (8) years of development and data analysis experience is recommended for this position
Industry recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Cloud Essentials, CompTIA Cloud+, CSA CCSK, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft PowerBI, CompTIA Data+, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL) are recommended but not required
Responsibilities
Develops, maintains, and produces solutions with products such as Microsoft PowerBI to visually represent datasets and data analytics for the agency
Ensures that components, units, and teams under the assigned Division can utilize the cloud services solutions that are present within the agency catalog for production and presentation of data to management, components, and partners
Ensures that data components that are necessary to be displayed are done so accordingly, legibly, and accurately within the guidelines and requirements provided by requirements
Provides analysis on what applications and/or data sets can be migrated into the cloud for better optimization, analysis, and viewing for the agency and its partners for better accessibility
Recommends, designs, builds, maintains, and imports custom develop solutions within the cloud environment to fulfill the desired need for applications or visual depiction of data within cloud native solutions for the agency and its partners
Recommends current solutions that are in-use that can be migrated to cloud-based solutions to better present data and analytics to management, incorporated preliminary designs through finalized implementation of systems and data sets, to include reports both end-user selected and automatically generated and emailed on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis depending on the requirement(s)
