Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to support our Kenmore location. This is a per diem, part‑time position with the flexibility to work remotely over time. The NP/PA works collaboratively with a team of medical assistants and other advanced practice clinicians in a dynamic, collegial call center setting. Telephone calls range from routine to emergent and may require prescription writing and interaction with an on‑call MD. The NP/PA has access to comprehensive patient information via our fully integrated Epic EMR system.
Responsibilities
Provide advanced practice clinical care to adult and pediatric patients in a call center setting.
Perform triage, evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions via telephone and virtual modalities.
Write prescriptions, order labs, order imaging, and refer patients to specialists and inpatient services as appropriate.
Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with Epic EMR best practices.
Work during overnight shifts, overnight weekends, holidays, and off‑shift hours to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Master’s level Nurse Practitioner program (NLN‑approved) and possess state licensure to practice in the expanded role.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and possess Massachusetts licensure and DEA registration.
Minimum of 2 years of advanced practice clinical experience; ambulatory experience preferred.
Strong triaging skills, clear verbal communication, proficient computer and documentation capabilities.
Experience with Epic EMR and electronic medical records systems.
Eligible for DEA and Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substances Registration.
