The Marlyn Schiff Photographer creates high quality product and lifestyle photography for the company’s wholesale platforms, direct to consumer (D2C) ecommerce website, social media content, and marketing materials. The photographer reports directly to the Art Director and the Social Media/Marketing Director.

Responsibilities

Oversee photography department and manage major creative and operational projects

Produce the highest quality product photography, lifestyle photography, flat lay photography, and video content

Maintain consistent visual brand aesthetic

Plan and execute all aspects of photoshoots including location scouting, booking talent, makeup and hair, lighting, planning shot lists, sourcing props, and coordinating with team

Responsible for post-production of all images, following appropriate naming conventions, sizing, color corrections, etc. for appropriate usage

Curate lookbooks for Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons, current accounts, and brand pitches

Coordinate with Marketing Director to photograph content for social media, e-commerce, and campaigns

Collaborate with Art and Marketing Directors to design or photograph additional marketing materials such as graphics, stickers, flyers, etc.

Manage the design and production of all printed marketing materials such as lookbooks, postcards, business cards, jewelry carding, etc.

Assist ecommerce team on product and imagery uploads to Shopify website

Assist wholesale team on imagery uploads to wholesale platforms and dropship programs

Manages the company’s style number catalog: assigns style numbers to jewelry, obtains jewelry specifications and measurements, compiles manufacturer information, etc.

Research photography, styling, fashion, and design trends

Qualifications

2-3 years of photo and video experience

Bachelor degree required in related field (Photography, Videography, etc)

High level of technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop and InDesign (Premiere/AfterEffects, Lightroom, and Bridge a plus)

Must have strong page layout skills

Exceptional knowledge of photography (mirrorless cameras, lighting, photo retouching/editing, and studio workflow

Organized, proactive, motivated, and able to take initiative

Ability to work independently and on a team

Flexible and be able to switch between projects as priorities change
