We are seeking an Epic Cogito Business Intelligence Developer (BID). This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining reports, dashboards, and other analytics solutions using Epic Cogito tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. Strong analytical background, extensive experience with Epic Clarity / Caboodle data models, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality BI solutions within healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Epic Cogito tools (Reporting Workbench, Radar, SlicerDicer, Metrics)
Collaborate with Epic application teams and other analytics teams to ensure data integrity and consistency
Gather and analyze reporting requirements from various stakeholders across the projects
Write complex SQL queries to extract data from Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic reports and reporting tools
Develop and maintain documentation for reports and dashboards
Stay current with the latest Epic Cogito features and functionalities
Mentor and train other team members on Epic Cogito reporting
Contribute to the overall success of the Epic transformation project
Skills & Experience
Epic Cogito Certification(s) or Proficiency (Cogito Tools Administration, Cogito Fundamentals, Clarity, Caboodle, etc.) is required for the role
5+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Cogito, Power BI)
3+ years of experience in healthcare IT, analytics, or data management; Strong SQL development skills
Extensive experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, including certification
Experience in working with Clinical Data within the Epic environment
BS in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with data warehousing and data modeling concepts; Experience with data visualization best practices
Knowledge of healthcare industry data standards and regulations; Experience working in a large, complex healthcare organization
