Job Summary The Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness leads and directs institutional assessment and research projects including instructional effectiveness, organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, coordination of institutional planning projects and accreditation. Develops and submits reports as appropriate to external agencies. Assists with the assessment activities related to other federal programs, state or regional grants, etc. Provides institutional support for research projects including but not limited to student academic and matriculation success, development and improvement of educational partnerships, and improved teaching and learning strategies. Assists with data reports for the development and submission of externally funded grants.

Position Duties

Lead the college’s research, data collection, analysis, reporting, institutional effectiveness, and assessment efforts.

Systematically collect all institutional data and reports and organize them in a centralized archive.

Coordinate and assist research related to institutional needs in areas of academic programming and student services.

Lead the institution in strategic planning development and activities, including identification and measurement of key performance indicators.

Coordinate institutional accreditation in the role of Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) and coordinate statutory reporting requirements.

Conduct campus-wide professional development related to assessment and research strategies.

Organize and summarize data into useful and readable reports and presentations that can be understood by all audiences.

Serves as the manager of the Snowflake cloud data lake and site administration for Tableau.

Chair and meet regularly the Knowledge Management Team and all teams associated with institutional assessment and data. Develop and conduct, and/or support others who are developing and conducting, surveys of alumni, employers, or other external constituencies.

Nurture a campus-wide culture of assessment that energizes faculty and staff to embrace a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

Share institutional data effectively through readable reports and clear, informative presentations.

Deliver projects on time with a high degree of accuracy.

Work collegially and collaboratively with all constituencies, internal and external, building partnerships and fostering teamwork.

Explore the potential of the college’s databases to enhance the efficiency and usefulness of institutional research, assessment, and student record management.

Expand knowledge and enhance skills through professional development, networking, and participation in professional organizations.

Maintain courteous, professional and effective working relationships with employees, vendors and/or any other representatives of external organization.

Comply with all College policies and procedures.

Professional business attire is required when meeting vendors or representing the college on official business and professional events and gatherings.

Assist the President and the institution with support related to assigned duties.

Required Education

Master’s degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree with extensive related experience will be considered.

Required Experience

Experience in research and assessment in higher education.

Experience in Jenzabar or similar student information systems.

Proficiency with wide variety of research tools and relational databases, preferred.

Knowledge in higher education terminology and processes, preferred.
