Student Accounts Manager (Bursar)
Position located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Education Cluster (EC) in the University of the District of Columbia (UDC). The incumbent oversees all financial student account activities and supervises the day-to-day operation of student accounts.
Pay Range $106,763 – $137,565 annually
Duties
Direct formulation and implementation of university policy and procedures related to registration and financial student arrangements.
Prepare, interpret and analyze financial reports.
Coordinate and distribute comprehensive tuition and fee structures.
Design, compile and present analytical reports to senior management.
Serve as an expert to assist in the design and implementation of new systems.
Act as the certification officer for payment vouchers and ensure accurate posting of commitments, obligations, disbursements, and collections.
Oversee development of audit programs; conduct periodic financial and compliance audits and make recommendations as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Five (5) years of progressive work experience performing related duties and responsibilities, including:
Overseeing planning, direction and timely execution of financial services related to student accounts or higher education.
Ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.
Preparing correspondence, reports, graphs and charts to effectively present findings and recommendations.
Utilizing Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and related database applications.
Experience in a university environment and strong Banner Finance/Accounts Receivable or similar ERP systems preferred.
At least one (1) year of work experience supervising lower-level staff.
