Accounts Payable Supervisor
Salary:
$74,893.00 – $118,558.00 Annually
The Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) seeks an Accounts Payable Supervisor to oversee the work of Accounts Payable Technicians and manage financial and accounts payable functions.
Responsibilities
Review work of subordinates, approve scheduled invoices, and release payments in the accounting/financial management system.
Ensure accounting codes, commitments, obligations, disbursements, and collections are recorded and posted appropriately.
Analyze, research, and resolve invoicing issues.
Review accounting transactions entered into the system.
Train staff on operational policy and procedures in invoice processing, reporting, and related activities.
Monitor actions to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory guidance.
Reconcile accounts payable transactions to vendor accounts.
Provide supporting evidence of records and reconciliations during the audit process.
Interpret new legislation and its impact on existing policies, accounting payable, and financial management requirements.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and/or annual reports.
Identify and resolve emerging issues relative to accounts payable operations.
Develop and implement process improvement strategies to manage workflow, staffing, and training needs.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Three (3) years of progressive experience performing the related duties such as overseeing payment disbursements, analyzing and reconciling financial transactions, verifying accuracy of financial data, preparing reports, conducting financial analysis, and utilizing financial systems.
