Overview The Division of Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks to employ an Advanced Cardiac Imaging faculty member at an open rank. This position offers the opportunity for the potential faculty member to join a team of cardiologists at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) and engage in research while participating in the academic practices of the medical school. The faculty member will be responsible for providing Cardiology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick, which may include: training and research relating to the advanced cardiac imaging fellowship program (Echocardiography, nuclear, Cardiac CT and Magnetic resonance imaging), assists with quality, education and appropriateness use criteria for cardiac imaging, and other duties as assigned.

Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick is part of the RWJBarnabas Health System. The affiliation of Rutgers Health and RWJ/Barnabas Health, the largest health system in NJ, presents opportunities for growth and expansion of the cardiology program. The integrated health system (RWJBarnabas) is a $5 billion enterprise and cares for about 40% of all NJ residents.

Responsibilities

Provide Cardiology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick, including clinical duties and participation in an advanced cardiac imaging program.

Engage in training and research related to the advanced cardiac imaging fellowship program (Echocardiography, nuclear imaging, Cardiac CT, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging).

Assist with quality improvement, education, and appropriateness use criteria for cardiac imaging, and perform other duties as assigned.

Collaborate with a team of cardiologists and participate in academic practices of the medical school.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

MD/DO or equivalent.

Certifications/Licenses:

Board eligible in Internal Medicine and/or Cardiology.

A minimum of $144,413 as the academic base + a faculty practice supplement.
