Overview
The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a Primary Care Outpatient Faculty Physician at an open rank to join our team within Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, The State University of New Jersey.
In this position, the faculty member will participate in the education and training of medical students, provide outpatient care in the General Internal Medicine practice, conduct office visits and consultations, and ensure timely completion of charting and billing. In addition to clinical care, our academic institution in collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School offers opportunities in clinical and research programs, faculty development, quality improvement activities, and participation in teaching initiatives.
The Department's clinical mission encompasses inpatient and ambulatory care settings at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and at various hospital affiliates and ambulatory care sites throughout the region. Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to education, clinical care, and research, aligned with Rutgers University-New Brunswick and collaborating university-wide. RBHS includes eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers focusing on cancer treatment and research, neuroscience, biotechnology and medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health policy. Our faculty are teachers, clinicians, and scientists with experience who advance medical innovation and provide patient care informed by the latest research findings. Clinical and academic facilities are located across New Brunswick, Piscataway, Newark, Scotch Plains, Somerset, Stratford, and other locations, with clinical partners including RWJ University Hospital and University Hospital in Newark.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient care in the General Internal Medicine practice, including office visits and consultations.
Participate in the education and training of medical students and contribute to clinical teaching programs.
