Understand project requirements and design building automation solutions for higher education and K–12 education facilities, data centers, hospitals, pharmaceutical facilities, high‑rise buildings, and lab facilities. Demonstrate expertise in engineering and contracting processes, with a strong grasp of submittal requirements and documentation standards essential for project success. Attend internal and external meetings to support potential opportunities and contribute technical details to project designs; meetings can be held at project sites, contractor offices and/or Siemens area offices. Prepare and/or work with an engineer to prepare design documents, including mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, system integration, bills of materials, sequences of operations, valve and damper schedules, and DDC panel layouts. Design building automation network architecture to support operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third‑party integration devices connected through Modbus, Siemens APOGEE, Desigo or BACnet. Analyze plans, construction contract specifications, and codes to determine project requirements and risks. Design building and space pressurization solutions, chiller and boiler plant sequencing control, etc. Prepare engineering re‑estimates and follow up with appropriate sales and management to ensure understanding of and satisfaction with job scope. Perform quality assurance; peer‑review engineering documents. Qualifications

High school diploma or state‑recognized GED. Experience in building automation (HVAC controls) design: Senior Level: 5+ years. Ability to travel up to 35%. Demonstrated ability to design large and complex jobs with some deviation using standard tools, products, and practices. Demonstrated knowledge of industry engineering fundamentals and business operations. Demonstrated proficiency in engineering design software or drafting tools such as AutoCAD or Microsoft Visio. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications
