About The Role

Then you may be an excellent candidate for an Analyst I role within our Health Economics and Market Access team, supporting Boston Scientific’s Urology business.
At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in our local office at least three days per week.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
Utilize knowledge of available data assets (e.g., Medicare and commercial claims data, CMS payment information) to define and execute analyses in support of business unit objectives.
Develop and maintain health economic and reimbursement resources for the Urology business unit, including procedural coding guides, reimbursement calculators and sales enablement tools
Monitor and assess health policy updates impacting the business’ commercially marketed products and emerging technologies. Develop related insights and communications to inform internal and external stakeholders
Conduct literature reviews, analyze scientific papers, and synthesize findings to support research objectives
Address reimbursement, coding and documentation inquiries from divisional sales force and key external stakeholders (e.g., hospitals, clinicians, investigator sites, professional societies)
Provide appropriate training to cross-functional partners such as sales, marketing, clinical, regulatory, and legal, to increase awareness and understanding of health economics and reimbursement, and their role in supporting a product’s success
Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to support strategic initiatives related to health economic research, health policy and business development
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or other post-secondary education
2+ years’ experience in a healthcare related role
Knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems including health policy trends, reimbursement systems (inpatient/outpatient/physician/ASC), medical claims data and associated documentation and coding terms.
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite), including high level of competency in Excel
Analytical experience utilizing large data sets to draw conclusions about market size, targeting, opportunity assessment, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights
Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
Customer-facing experience (i.e., customer service, complaint handling, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, other post-secondary education, certification or significant experience in health economics, health care administration, public health, data analytics, biostatistics, epidemiology, nursing, or related discipline
Ability to work collaboratively, as well as advance initiatives independently in a fast-paced, matrix environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey research finding, insights, and recommendations to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with Medicare and Commercial medical claims data sets
Familiarity with Urology procedures and products
Demonstrated responsiveness and sense of urgency when pursuing goals and completing tasks
Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities, manage multiple projects
Experience working as part of both functional and cross-functional teams
