Job Overview
AWS is seeking a Senior Business Operations Lead, to lead drive data-driven decision-making and operational excellence for the APO (Partner) Tech organization. This role is crucial in leading and scaling mission‑critical frameworks, including goal setting, key initiatives, monthly business reviews, and data analysis, to inform strategic recommendations in a rapidly growing, complex environment.
AWS is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing sales processes, systems, and metrics to help sellers and those involved in the sales process increase revenue growth and customer acquisition. The Senior Business Operations Lead analyzes sales performance data to identify growth opportunities and process improvements. Partners with stakeholders to drive day‑to‑day operational excellence through sales process management, performance analysis, technology support, business reviews, operational planning, and communicating actionable insights, both verbally and in writing, while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
As the AI‑powered sales ecosystem continues to evolve, this role will be instrumental in leveraging the latest artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to enhance sales processes and decision‑making. The Senior Business Operations Lead will work closely with APO Tech leadership and cross‑functional teams to responsibly implement and optimize AI‑driven tools and workflows that augment the sales organization’s productivity and effectiveness.
Key Job Responsibilities
Documents and implements standardized sales processes and metrics, including KPI definitions and goal cascades, to support sales operational effectiveness
Develops and manages pipeline qualification, attribution, and/or routing rules to ensure proper distribution, and resolves attribution escalations to ensure accurate financial reporting
Orchestrates AI‑human collaboration in the sales process, including AI‑powered lead scoring and opportunity prioritization
Manages and optimizes AI sales intelligence tools and automated customer interaction systems
Maintains CRM and sales tools data quality to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting
Implements sales workflows and automation to streamline process and improve seller efficiency
Maintains dashboards to provide real‑time visibility into key sales metrics to make business decisions
Conducts sales performance analysis on win/loss data, conversion rates, quota attainment, and/or forecast accuracy to identify potential risks
Drives regular business reviews with insights on pipeline health, revenue forecast trends, and operational efficiency
Acts as primary point of contact to resolve stakeholders’ requests and execute daily operational processes
Leads sales tools training and adoption initiatives to improve utilization and productivity
Leads cross‑functional projects to improve sales efficiency and processes
Drives escalations, gap‑to‑green, and/or other issues to resolution
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
7+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
Experience developing and executing sales strategies, tactics, plans, processes, systems and programs
AML related certification
Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to evaluate and implement AI sales tools
Understanding of AI capabilities and limitations in sales contexts
Experience in training and fine‑tuning AI models with sales data
Experience in prompt engineering and working with large language models

Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The Colorado base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year up to $181,200/year. The National base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
