Regional Vice President Construction Execution

Responsibilities
Communicates and implements strategic initiatives in alignment with Medxcel and customer strategic priorities.
Drives business innovation, service strategies, continuous process improvement, and achievement of construction projects through collaborative partnerships to ensure service excellence.
Provides leadership to Regional Construction teams to achieve performance metrics, business objectives, and strategic priorities.
Oversees the development of project budgets, project schedules, and project cash flow while ensuring compliance with allocated funding sources.
Coordinates and directs internal/external project audits.
Ensures departmental compliance applicable statutory, regulatory, and administrative requirements relative to industry standards and Medxcel policies.
Works closely with direct reports on scope of projects to ensure quality delivery of all projects.
Conducts project reviews for major capital projects in alignment with Medxcel and PDC guidelines.
Reports risks, issues, and key metrics to Medxcel leadership in an expeditious manner.
Defines the contract parameters for each project within the standardized contract template and clearly communicates expectations to direct reports and preferred partners.
Establishes a formal commissioning, warranty, and retainage process within construction agreements and project execution.
Acts as the primary liaison for all regional external professional service and construction firms, including contract application review and ensuring that all service firms and construction managers meet Medxcel and Ascension standards related to conduct, safety, and operating procedures.
Communicates effectively with Health Ministry leadership, Medxcel leadership, Regional Directors, Project Managers, and external firms responsible for project work.
Leverages and maintains collaborative relationships with Medxcel customers including Ascension System Office, Health Ministries, other clients, and related vendors.
Reduces cost of construction through new methods, updated contracts, increased visibility of contingency, and process ownership.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Business, Project Management or related field—required.
Master’s degree in relevant field—preferred.
License/Certification
Valid Driver’s License—required.
Certified Healthcare Constructor, Certified Associate in Project Management, Project Management—required.
Professional, Certified Healthcare Facility Manager or related project management, healthcare facilities management or construction management credential—required.
Experience
At least 10 years progressively responsible leadership experience in design, construction, maintenance, or facilities—required.
At least 15 years of healthcare design and construction experience—preferred.
Experience managing associates in a matrix reporting structure—preferred.
Skills
