The Technical Product Manager (PM) plays a pivotal role within the Engine Control Product Release Center (PRC). This role collaborates closely with the Controls Manager, Calibration teams, and both Advanced and Production Requirements teams to ensure timely and complete delivery of requirements to the PRC in alignment with program milestones.

The PM provides leadership to controls developers, guiding the implementation of requirements, conducting controls assessments, and overseeing prototype code tracking. This role owns the end-to-end engine control development process, from feature scheduling to production implementation. Additionally, the PM leads Agile ceremonies, monitors and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and ensures AECD (Auxiliary Emission Control Device) compliance for the Engine Control System.

Responsibilities

Approve new requirement capabilities through the Requirements Review Board (RRB)

Support issue triage, ensuring correct team assignment and assisting with root cause analysis

Conduct Controls Assessments in collaboration with the Controls Development Center of Excellence (COE)

Define and communicate the technical roadmap

Generate, track, and report Agile KPIs

Manage all aspects of prototype software development

Oversee and communicate supplier change requests (incoming and outgoing)

Provide technical review and approval of propulsion capabilities at the Propulsion Architecture and Intent (A&I) forum

Lead special projects focused on improving the quality of control artifacts

Ensure adherence to Controls & Software processes, while driving continuous improvement

Lead AECD compliance efforts for the Engine Control System

Manage best guess calibration and lead a small team to validate the SW integrated testing

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or related degree field

Minimum of 10 years of experience in a related field

Strong working experience in engine control and data analysis

Solid understanding of system requirements engineering and controls design

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, AUTOSAR (including System Desk)

Experience in gasoline engine emissions calibration and certification

Strong knowledge in Agile methodology

Lead AECD compliance efforts for the Engine Control System

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree with emphasis in electrical power conversion, electromechanical energy conversion, power electronics, or electrical machines

Demonstrated working level experience in decomposing intended function into controls design documents

Experience optimizing embedded controls with multi-core processors
