Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor – Food & Nutrition. In this role, the successful candidate will provide first‑line supervision of food service staff and ensure compliance with all department policies and health regulations.
Job Responsibilities
Supervises and schedules service employees to assigned shifts.
Monitors accurate portion control and follows marking plans as directed by the Assistant Director.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Ensures that management policies and procedures to control cost expenditures in all areas are met.
When applicable, follows cash control standards according to set policy and procedures.
Controls food service inventory, assuring proper storage, handling of products, stock rotation, and safeguards food supply.
Completes quality assurance activities in accordance with NYULH and food service departmental policies and procedures.
Conducts employee training and development programs consistent with departmental operating policies and procedures.
Maintains a sanitary and safe operation in accordance with HACCP, federal, state, and local health regulations.
Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in hotel and restaurant management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience at a managerial level in either institutional or commercial food service. National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation for ServSafe Protection Certification (obtained within 6 months of hire).
Preferred Qualifications B.S. Degree
