Founder and Executive Director at Independent IdentityABA Based Nonprofit Day Program for Adults with Profound Autism
The BCBA will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising individualized ABA treatment plans for adults enrolled in our day program. This includes conducting assessments, overseeing direct care staff (RBTs), developing behavior intervention plans when necessary, and providing staff training and clinical oversight. The BCBA plays a critical role in ensuring that services are ethical, effective, and aligned with client preferences and goals.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments upon intake using Essential for Living (EFL), Assessment of Functional Living Skils (AFLS), and other relevant tools.
Develop individualized skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, vocational, and life skills.
Complete Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Management Plans (BMPs) as needed.
Embed ABA principles into meaningful group and individual activities.
Provide clinical oversight of direct care staff; ensure fidelity of treatment implementation.
Monitor progress via ongoing data analysis and make timely modifications to programming.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation in accordance with ethical and funding guidelines.
Conduct staff training in areas including data collection, prompting strategies, reinforcement procedures, and behavior reduction protocols.
Collaborate with caregivers, guardians, and other service providers to promote generalization and consistency.
Uphold and model professional and ethical standards as set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
Crisis management training for severe behavior strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coach and collaborate with a team.
Commitment to compassionate, person-centered care.
Reliable transportation and ability to work onsite during program hours.
Clinic-based, group and individual service delivery.
Daytime hours, Monday through Friday (typically 8am–4:30pm).
Some events or services (fundraisers, resource fairs) may be provided outside of regular business hours.
Clients are served in small groups with no more than a 1:4 staff-to-client ratio.
Supervision of behavior technicians and program implementation.
