The
Accounting Manager
will oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the firm’s bookkeeping and accounting department. This includes supervising three staff accountants, reviewing quarterly accounting workpapers and general ledgers, managing client relationships, and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both
QuickBooks Online
and
QuickBooks Desktop , capable of performing occasional QuickBooks clean‑up work, and skilled at streamlining processes to improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a team of three staff accountants. Review and approve quarterly accounting workpapers, financial statements, and general ledgers for multiple bookkeeping clients. Manage workload, scheduling, and workflow to ensure timely completion of all client deliverables. Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, serving as a primary point of contact for accounting matters. Perform or assist with client QuickBooks clean‑up and troubleshooting. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency across the department. Coordinate with partners to plan and allocate staff resources effectively. Ensure compliance with firm policies and accounting best practices. Provide training and guidance to staff on QuickBooks and internal procedures. Qualifications
Minimum
5 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience , preferably in a
CPA firm or multi‑client environment . QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification (required) —must be current and active. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation. Experience supervising or managing accounting staff. Excellent organizational and review skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Effective communication and client service skills. Proactive problem‑solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred ( CPA not required ). Why Join Us
