Job Details SST is seeking a Supervisor for our Client Accounting & Advisory Services department in the Dallas area.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead client engagements, mentor team members, and drive process improvements within our Client Accounting & Advisory Services (CAAS) team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality financial insights and controllership leadership.
Pay Range Salary Range: $75-$88K
Education & Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
Major Responsibilities & Duties Client Service & Controllership
Lead client engagements, providing technical accounting guidance and controllership support.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring responsiveness and relationship management.
Prepare and review complex reconciliations and GAAP-compliant financial statements.
Deliver strategic insights and proactive recommendations based on financial analysis.
Ensure all deliverables are accurate, timely, and audit-ready.
Supervise Staff and Senior Accountants, assigning tasks and reviewing work.
Mentor and train team members to enhance technical skills and efficiency.
Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
Manage team workflows and prioritize tasks effectively.
Process & Technology Leadership
Act as a CAAS technology expert, specializing in key platforms.
Lead initiatives to streamline workflows and automate processes.
Maintain and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Monitor engagement economics and align with firm expectations.
Execute special projects as assigned by leadership.
Communicate regularly with CAAS leadership on challenges, solutions, staffing, and client updates.
Take full ownership of client deliverables and outcomes.
Support marketing and business development through client interactions and external events.
Represent the firm at professional and industry events.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
5+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a focus on CAAS or advisory services.
Strong technical accounting skills and experience with GAAP financials.
Proven ability to supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Proficiency in CAAS technology platforms (QBO, SAGE, Microsoft Suite) and process optimization.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.
Preferred:
CPA license in good standing.
Experience leading client onboarding and process improvement initiatives.
Active involvement in professional associations or community organizations.
Recognized expertise in non-profit organizations, career schools, construction, and/or real estate.
