Overview
We currently have a position for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant supporting Urgent Care in our Pediatrics department located at the Somerville site. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will work collaboratively on a team to provide direct clinical care within an ambulatory pediatrics practice to deliver comprehensive care and must possess the ability to assess clinical problems, determine priorities of care, design and implement a treatment plan and seek and utilize consultation appropriately. Clinical care includes pediatric primary care. We offer superior staffing resources and a fully integrated EMR system.
Weekend availability is required for this per diem position.
Responsibilities
Provide direct clinical care within an ambulatory pediatrics practice.
Assess clinical problems, determine priorities of care, design and implement a treatment plan.
Seek and utilize consultation appropriately.
Deliver comprehensive care for pediatric primary care population.
Qualifications
NP: nationally certified FNP, PPCNP or CPNP, graduate from an accredited master's NP program, state licensure.
PA: national certification, Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensure.
NP/PA: Mass DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration.
Minimum 2 years pediatric ambulatory care experience preferred.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and patient interviewing skills.
Highly motivated, self‑directed, ability to interpret clinical information and develop a plan of care.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple demands.
Up‑to‑date with current standards of nursing care in specialty.
Excellent practice, documentation, utilization, and ability to maintain high patient satisfaction.
Strong computer skills.
