Responsibilities

Negotiate, draft, and review a variety of commercial contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, power purchase agreements, software licenses, procurement contracts, credit agreements, consulting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.

Provide legal support in a wide range of areas such as project development, tax, finance, legislative matters, and the performance of statutory processes and responsibilities.

Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to internal clients and executive management on various commercial, financial, and other transactional activities.

Research, analyze, and advise clients with respect to the interpretation and enforcement of contracts and the management of contractual risk.

Assist in the preparation and interpretation of business policies and procedures.

Collaborate closely with legal colleagues on the analysis and resolution of novel legal issues.

Qualifications

Successful candidate must be admitted to practice law, and in good standing, in the current state of practice; if not Arizona, able to gain admission in Arizona within 6 months of employment.

Experience in energy transactions, including renewable energy project development and financing, would be highly valued.

Minimum of five years of relevant transactional legal experience, gained in-house or in a law firm.

Completion of a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Hybrid Workplace SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
