Key Responsibilities
Devise and execute a global supply chain strategy aligned with Harmar’s organizational goals. Manage the global supply chain network, supplier relationships, supplier performance, and risk management. Improve Harmar customer experience and drive profit margins. Ensure compliance with FDA regulations as required. Deliver a continuous supply of high‑quality, high‑value products. Execute strategic purchasing initiatives. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost‑effective procurement of materials and services. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve the best terms and conditions. Lead the Purchasing team to use the MRP system to effectively order parts at the lowest cost and required quality levels with no stock‑outs. Develop and implement the SIOP process. Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to drive and align production schedules with demand forecasts and the SIOP process. Develop and implement comprehensive logistics strategies including export controls. Manage inbound and outbound logistics processes to ensure cost‑effective delivery of materials and improve customer satisfaction. Work closely with cross‑functional teams—including senior leadership, sales, engineering, marketing, IT, and customer service—to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively with senior leadership regarding status, goals, and countermeasures through detailed KPIs. Monitor and support service metrics to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service performance. Track and report on key sourcing metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance with procurement policies. Identify opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives to achieve sourcing goals. Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the supply chain organization. Coordinate with Human Resources to develop succession planning strategies, ensuring leadership continuity and role fulfillment. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including disruptions in the supply chain, supplier performance issues, and changes in market conditions. Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost‑effective operations and adherence to financial targets. Requirements
At least 10 years of purchasing & logistics experience in a manufacturing environment required. 5 years of supervisory experience. Hands‑on, direct experience with international suppliers. Experience with Excel, Word, MRP/ERP system, Transportation Management System (TMS). Syspro knowledge preferred. Previous experience with MRP/ERP implementation, including a comprehensive understanding of bills of material. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. APICS certification is a plus. Core Values
