The Territory Sales Manager

reports to and works in partnership with the Regional Sales Manager to support the development of business within the Metro NY area. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for:

New and Existing Retail Account Development

Distributor Support, Education and Monitoring for Accountability

Selling Initiative Management and Execution to Drive Business Results

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for building relationships and brand awareness with selling partners and Metro NY area retailers. To be successful in this role, the Territory Manager must effectively train and manage our distribution partners, visit, and build relationships with key retail locations, internal teams and tools to grow in-store activations, expand assortment and achieve established sales objectives and goals for key accounts. To effectively track to those goals and objectives, the Territory Sales Manager will support the development and use of business driving strategic tools and initiatives. These tools will be used during daily store visits to ensure brands receive proper shelf placement, correct product assortment and shelf tags on shelf, adequate promotions, secondary displays, and other considerations to drive increased sales at each individual store.

Responsibilities

Develop and Maintain relationships with accounts

Sell brands on daily store visits to identified retail chains with a focus on securing new activations, optimizing assortment, expanding placement and developing existing customer business within Metro NY area

Partner with retailers, distributors teams and work independently to grow sales along with building displays, POS placement and executing brand building tactics.

Work with Regional and District Sales Manager to develop a weekly routes with a goal of 60+ store visits per week.

Act as a Brand Ambassador in the territory’s customer base

Train, monitor and support the sales efforts of distributor teams

Educate clients and attend trade shows to conduct product education

Track and report Sales in organized manner

Communicate effectively with other members of team

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in Sales

Experience building relationships at the store level and with individual store buyers and decision makers.

Experience with Metro NY retail landscape, including independents and retailers.

Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills (verbal, written and organizational)

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and customer relationship management software

Ability to travel to do business.
