Senior Accountant Our client is seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a motivated accounting team working under a Controller who is a licensed CPA. Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of commercial properties. Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, perform reconciliations, and handle all journal entries for various real estate entities. Lease Accounting: Oversee and manage complex lease agreements, ensuring accurate revenue recognition and compliance with ASC 842. Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with the annual budgeting process and provide support for financial forecasting and analysis. Audit Support: Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Ad Hoc Projects: Take on special projects as needed, which may include due diligence for new acquisitions or system implementation. Qualifications
A bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is a plus. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in real estate / property management industry is a plus. Expertise with GAAP and strong knowledge of accounting principles. Proficiency with accounting software. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Location
