Job Description
Join Art of Problem Solving (AoPS) as a Senior Product Designer and bring your creativity to life by designing innovative and engaging experiences across our educational platforms that will challenge and inspire the next generation of problem solvers.
The Senior Product Designer will :
Design experiences across our suite of educational products
Collaborate closely with our Product and Marketing teams to set design strategy, optimize existing user interfaces and experiences, and conceptualize user interfaces and experiences for new products and features
Create, share, and iterate through ideas via storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mock-ups, prototypes, or other methods
Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to translate those ideas through implementation into delightful experiences
Deliver solutions that consider engineering feasibility and technical requirements
Help create a user‑centric and data‑driven culture by conducting research and user testing and by analyzing the data and outcomes of design projects
Drive development of processes, standards, and best practices for design, testing, and research
Provide mentorship to more junior designers
The ideal candidate has :
5+ years of UX / UI, Interaction, or Product Design experience
Solid online portfolio showcasing exceptional design skills and systems thinking with a focus on user‑centered design
Experience designing scalable, complex, large‑scale projects
Experience developing innovative design solutions and participating in the design process from end‑to‑end
Ability to work independently and manage design work with high‑level stakeholders
Ability to clearly communicate how design delivers on user, business, and product goals
Excellent communication, collaboration, organization, and decision‑making skills

Since 2003, we have trained hundreds of thousands of the country's top students, including nearly all the members of the US International Math Olympiad team, through our online school, in‑person academies, textbooks, and online learning systems. While our primary focus has been math for most of our history, through the years we have expanded our unique problem‑solving curriculum into more subjects, such as language arts, science, and computer science.
