Energy Consultant Project Manager
and help accelerate the energy transition with autonomous grid management technology.
Remote Position This is a fully remote project manager role based in the Contiguous U.S., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.
In Your Role You Will:
Drive consulting and advisory engagements, leading project teams, ensuring quality, profitability, and client relationships.
Build relationships and prepare scope of work, budgets, and value propositions for new business opportunities.
Advise on energy asset transactions, including procurement of power, ancillary services, clean energy certificates, fossil fuels, and other products.
Support clients deploying e‑mobility solutions and decarbonization technologies for end‑use energy use, including electrification of heating and alternative fuels.
Provide advice on regulatory and policy issues for utilities and government agencies rolling out decarbonization policies.
Consult on wholesale electricity price forecasts and other market variables to value assets and identify investment opportunities.
Prepare detailed written reports and compelling presentations describing analyses, conclusions, and recommendations.
Mentor staff members throughout project execution and on an ongoing basis in your area of expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, statistics, physics, or mathematics with strong quantitative analysis capabilities.
3+ years of proven experience in energy consulting with success in project delivery and business development.
Track record of leading complex analytical projects in the electrical utility sector, including electrification strategies, transaction advisory, procurement optimization, wholesale power markets, and/or regulatory analysis.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills with ability to translate complex technical analyses into compelling client narratives.
Willingness to travel up to 25% while leveraging a remote‑first work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in business development for energy consulting services.
Experience in electricity production cost modeling (e.g., Aurora).
Experience leading teams of technical experts in the energy field.
