Responsibilities
Lead consulting engagements using nodal market models (e.g., Aurora, PLEXOS, PROMOD) to evaluate asset performance, value, and risks.
Perform congestion, curtailment, and basis risk analyses to support project developers and investors in siting, interconnection, and portfolio decisions.
Develop wholesale market forecasts and strategic outlooks to identify opportunities for clean energy, storage, and emerging technologies.
Support M&A and transaction advisory by quantifying locational value, revenue potential, and risks under evolving market and policy conditions.
Deliver insights that help clients optimize development pipelines, maximize asset value, and align with market and policy trends.
Prepare detailed written reports and compelling presentations that clearly communicate technical results and strategic implications.
Mentor junior consultants in nodal modeling methods, analytics, and interpretation.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, economics, operations research, finance, statistics, physics, or mathematics.
3+ years of hands‑on experience in nodal production cost modeling and power market analytics (e.g., AURORA, PLEXOS, PROMOD, SERVM).
Experience applying nodal modeling for asset valuation, congestion/curtailment assessment, and investment decision support.
Strong understanding of U.S. power markets, renewable integration, and transmission constraints.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, primarily within the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior consulting experience with utilities, developers, or investors.
Ability to communicate complex technical analyses in clear, client‑ready deliverables.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, interconnection processes, and decarbonization policies.
Remote Position This is a remote position based in the contiguous U.S.
