Standex Electronics
Overview
The Controller is a talented, self‑driven, high‑energy individual in the Electronics division providing financial support as it relates to variance analysis, support for cost reduction, and margin expansion opportunities for the Concord location.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing various monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Concord location, including bridge analysis.
Reviewing and investigating variances during the month, including scrap, material usage, purchase price variances, and direct labor.
Being responsible for the month‑end close and journal entries as well as reviewing, analyzing, and reporting for inventory balances.
Coordinating annual standards roll.
Working with the manufacturing team to identify, validate, and report cost reduction opportunities.
Working with the commercial organization and the manufacturing team to evaluate customer margins and opportunities for margin expansion.
Preparing capital expenditure requests as necessary for the business.
Assisting in the preparation of forecasts and annual budgets, along with other reporting requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
4+ years of experience with a background that includes accounting experience in manufacturing operations or relevant audit experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, able to work with complex spreadsheets and understand and complete complex Excel templates with business historical trends and explanatory information.
Preferred
Experience with SAP Business One a plus.
Demonstrated experience in being a strong and collaborative business partner with an organization to help facilitate ongoing improvements.
