GMA Accessories Inc. dba Capelli New York and other divisions of Sondra Roberts, Ballet Group, is a major U.S. manufacturer and distributor of apparel, footwear, novelty and gift products, jewelry, hosiery, fashion accessories, handbags, PPE, fitness gear and sports/athletic apparel for women, men and kids. We also manage new licensing divisions including Ellen Tracy and Caribbean Joe. Established in 1990, we employ approximately 600 U.S. employees and 2,500 worldwide with offices, showrooms and distribution centers across the U.S., U.K., China, Hong Kong, Germany and Bangladesh.
Sales Executive – New York City Office We are seeking Sales Executives to work in our Fashion Accessories, Hosiery, Women and Kids Apparel and Swimwear divisions at our New York City office. The individual will be placed in one division only and will manage branded and off‑price business, working closely with the sales team to achieve sales and financial performance goals.
Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with current accounts while maintaining the brands.
Maintain strong communication and relationship building strengths with customers in the retail apparel market.
Work closely with all aspects of sales and marketing within your defined account base for your division(s).
Maintain internal relationships with teams in planning, design, development, allocations and marketing.
Partner closely with the CEO and EVP to develop sales budgets by accounts.
Create and manage a seasonal/annual business plan (by account) that details growth, category, distribution and promotional objectives.
Represent our company and brand at trade shows and customer meetings, servicing the accounts and sales distribution.
Generate weekly reports reflecting current sales, projected sales and sell‑thru.
Stay abreast of current market trends, forecast changes in the retail landscape and propose new strategies.
Skills and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required.
5+ years of sales management experience.
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to work as part of a team.
Priority setting, multi‑tasking and effective work in a fast‑paced environment to meet deadlines.
Detail‑oriented, organized, self‑motivated and able to work well under pressure.
Positive attitude, work ethic and exceptional follow‑up skills.
Professional punctuality and preparedness.
Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Competitive salary range: $90,000 to $125,000 negotiable.
