Job Overview
A leading Am Law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join their Real Estate Finance group in New York or Washington, DC. Qualified candidates should have broad commercial real estate finance experience. The practice handles sophisticated lender and borrower-side transactions, including senior mortgage loans, construction loans, leverage and mezzanine financing, preferred debt and equity investments, and co-lender/A‑Note deals. Clients include banks, private debt funds, private equity investors, REITs, and developers.
Base Pay Range $245,000.00/yr - $365,000.00/yr
What You’ll Be Doing:
Handling complex real estate finance transactions from execution through closing
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan documents and ancillary agreements
Conducting due diligence on title, surveys, zoning, and financing structures
Collaborating with clients, lenders, borrowers, title companies, and other parties
Supporting the team on a range of sophisticated commercial real estate finance matters
What They’re Looking For:
4–8 years of commercial real estate finance experience (lender or borrower side)
Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Ability to manage transactions and work collaboratively within a team
Admission to the New York Bar or DC Bar
