Responsibilities

Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum degree: Bachelor’s degree.

Required field of study: Accounting.

Minimum years of experience: 4+ years.

Certification(s) required: CPA, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance‑specific credentials may qualify.

Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese.

Proficient in advanced tax issues for US non‑publicly traded entities with extensive operations in Japan.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive record of success in complex tax issues faced by US, non‑publicly traded entities with extensive operations in Japan.

Demonstrated ability to build, maintain, and use networks of client relationships and community involvement.

Excellent communication of value propositions and management of project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.

Strong written and verbal material preparation skills.

Ability to supervise teams, foster trust, encourage diverse viewpoints, drive improvement and innovation.

Coaching staff with timely and meaningful feedback.

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 – $266,000, plus a discretionary annual bonus. This range is likely for Maryland. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, qualifications, and location, and applicable employment laws.
